Fringe Season 5 round-up

Fringe will be back Soon and I am so excited about them getting a final season to send off our favourite Fringe science team I’m going to post weekly about all the Fringe Stuff I find out and watch from the show starting now. See below for a round-up of clips and info from random sites around the web. Be warned none of these belong to me but, I’m putting it together in one place for Fringe fans like myself. Click below for more.

First lets see the trailer for season 5 in all its glory. One word, Epic. Everything has led them to this.

Okay, breath, JUST BREATH! This next piece is a link to I09 who pretty much act as a time sink for whenever I’m not working. When I need a 5 minute break or a minute to relax from the norm there they are. The title is Time to get excited for Season 5, like I need to be told I have to get excited. Just click on the handy picture link. below.

This next nugget is from a great column on Spinoff Online it has a 5 things style to it and Graeme McMillan reveals the 5 things he wants from Season 5. Again click on the handy picture link to see the article, then I’ll tell you some of the things I want from Season 5.

In no particular order, here’s what I want to see.

  • Man-size bat people. Did we get anything more about them apart from the couple flying off into the dark with the knowledge there are others.
  • More David Jones and evil Nina? Both of them were just killing it this last (and hey, every) season.
  • More Alt-characters. Was that episode last season their proper send off? Are they going to return this season with back-up when everything looks like it might be going in the Observers favor. Hopefully we’ll see Agent Lee and the alts sometime in these 13 episodes.
  • The cyborg creatures. Will they appear again?
  • A happy ending? I really really want a happy ending. In so many shows, and books I’ve read there have been major character deaths(yeah I’m looking at you Brian K Vaughn and Joss Whedon). I thought Astrid was going to be the token death but she survived and that made me happy. I want to be happy after I see the last episode of Fringe.
  • More of the Cortexiphan subjects. Bring back Nick, Sally, Cameron, Nancy, Simon and even James. Lets get them all involved. We need some closure on some of these characters.
  • I want to see the family interaction between Peter Walter, Etta and Olivia.
AHHH so much goodness coming our way. Can’t wait for more. If you want more clips and info on the show go  here to Fox Networks page. Lastly, here’s another little clip of the aforementioned goodness.

I can’t wait for new episodes of Fringe. It seems likely they’ll answer this in the first episode, but what happens to Olivia, is she okay? My coworker at DISH got me hooked on the series with the third season a couple years ago. Since then, I’ve been looking forward to the new episodes, but it’s bittersweet since this is the last season. My Hopper DVR with PrimeTime Anytime is going to come in handy this season. It will automatically record every episode of Fringe as well as all the other shows in prime time from the four other major networks without having to set individual timers for each show. I wish this was not the last season; at least the creators have the chance to wrap up the story the way they want to instead of having the show cancelled suddenly.
