WHOA! X-(WO)Men!

I did say that I love Coipel’s art. I’m in LOVE with this particular piece and yet I have a problem with the concept. Read below the LUSH image for the beef.

Here it is, and it’s simple. …….(sorry, excuse me while I relish how Coipel captured each woman’s look and character in this one image) Ok I’m back. Here’s the problem. The only character who isn’t spoken for comics wise is Jubilee. I mean, YEAH Jubilee’s back and it seems she is headlining this book, but, she’s surrounded by all the others.

Psylocke‘s in Uncanny X-Force.

Storm’s in Uncanny X-Force and Wolverine and the X-Men and ALL New.

Rogue’s in Uncanny Avengers.

Kitty is in Wolverine and the X-Men and ALL New

Rachel is in Wolverine and the X-Men and ALL New.

As much as I love all these characters, I guess I’m not a fan of all these characters being in multiple books when there are some really cool X-men who have not been spoken for yet.

They could have added, some of these women to join Jubilee (this includes younger/newer characters as well as older ones also):

  • Husk
  • Trance
  • Frenzy
  • Blink
  • Fixx
  • Loa
  • Lifeguard
  • Armor
  • Sabra
  • Omega Sentinel
  • Aurora
  • Ariel
  • Vange
  • Cuckoos
  • Amanda Sefton
  • Cerise

My point, so many to choose from. But I’m sure this book is going to look beeeeeautiful. Oh well.

i see your point about there being “to many to choose”, but i think they are not just showcasing x-women in this book, but a focus on Claremonts, x-woman, and of course, when it comes to the x-men, the lineup, WILL change.

Yeah, I’m sure the roster will change and focus on those characters not busy elsewhere. It’s also a bummer this book’s release date got bumped back. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
