A Lot has happened over the last few months with the All New Wednesday Warriors so here’s a round up of episodes. Just Click the images for the links to the episodes. There’s something below for all comics tastes.
EPISODE 07 – COMICS SECURITY BLANKET
It’s an All-New Comics Grab Bag from the All-New Wednesday Warriors. In this episode the warriors fight for their current favorite comics. Jordan fights for Kaijumax and also the impulse buy of New Avengers #9 featuring the first appearance of American Kaiju. Loran talks up The Wicked and the Divine, again, and gives a round-up of what’s currently worth fighting for and what’s worth leaving on the cutting room floor in the X-universe of books. Kyle gives us his views on the completely dissimilar comic book juggernauts that are Grizzly Shark and Blankets and why you should pick up both, and Sean gives us the low down on the New Black Panther book and Disney’s Haunted Mansion.
All this mixed up with some BvB (Batman Villain Banter) and our personal views on comics and you have our second Comic Book Grab Bag.
EPISODE 08 – CITY IN THE DESERT SPOTLIGHT
The Wednesday Warriors talk Captain America: Civil War and who’s on whose side. We talk about Dr. Strange and Black Widow but for the main meat of this episode we go to bat for Moro Roger’s impeccable City in the Desert graphic novel and discuss the ins and outs of the magical and mysterious world she created.
You don’t want to miss this episode, but you also don’t want to miss our Q&A with Moro Rogers.
EPISODE 09 – CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR
Captain America: Civil War is finally here! Find out who is team Cap and who hates America. Listen in as the Wednesday Warriors discuss the newest MCU entry and their favorite Marvel books including Doctor Strange, Black Widow, Punisher, Moon Knight, and more. We discuss our adventures from Free Comic Book Day, Jordan found a new dinosaur book, and Sean saves a marriage.
EPISODE 10 – HAIL HYDRA
On this week’s episode the Wednesday Warriors gather once again (sans Loran) to discuss the latest comics topic to set the internet ablaze: DC Rebirth! No? How about Civil War 2? No? Must be that Captain America thing.
Also we discuss the disgustingly entertaining Grizzly Shark Returns #2, Jordan gushes over Aliens: Defiance #1, and the Warriors are all completely underwhelmed by issue #0 of Civil War 2. Sprinkle in some more Doctor Strange talk, and some attempts to talk the internet down off its collective ledge, and you’ve got episode 10!
EPISODE 11 – X-MEN APOCALYPSE
The All-New Wednesday Warriors fight for and against X-Men: Apocalypse. Is it good? Is it bad? or, is it a bunch of good in a pile of ultimately bad? Listen on to find out.
The Warriors give their best-of-the-X recommendations should you want to dip your toe into the X-Universe or take a flying Cannonball plunge and give you recommendations of what X-Men books, arcs, and runs you should spend your precious time on in the future. We discuss the other major magic user in the Marvel Universe, some not so wacky adaptations of Hanna Barbera cartoons from DC, and lots more.
EPISODE 12 – COMICS GRAB BAG
It’s episode 12! Now with 20% less movie talk, and 100% more guest panelist Andrew Malin! We gather yet again to discuss our continuing ambivalence of Civil War II #2, I Hate Fairyland, Batman Rebirth #1, Devil Dinosaur and Moon Girl, and more!
We also we wax poetic about Robert Kirkman’s Invincible series, and Jordan gets so excited to talk about Atomic Robo he completely forgets to tell you the creative team! (It’s Brian Clevinger and Scott Wegener by the way.)
EPISODE 13 – WEDNESDAY WARRIORS DO DETECTIVE COMICS
In this episode the Wednesday Warriors show there’s love for the other half of the big two and discuss their favorite DC titles. Jordan fights for Pokemon Go and Emperor Joker. Kyle puts up his dukes for Superman: Red Son. Guest presenter Andy praises the Doom Patrol and Swamp Thing, while Loran raves over Major Bummer and Legion Lost. Also the usual banter so for one night only it’s the Wednesday Warriors for DC comics greats of days gone by.
