What to Expect From the 2022 Game Awards

The Game Awards is much more than just an award ceremony. It has grown to become a major gaming event where there are just as many announcements and gaming reveals as there are awards given out at the show. Previous events have shown the reveal of games like Elden Ring and Alan Wake 2 as well as Sonic Frontiers‘ first gameplay reveal. There will surely be some major announcements to come from this year’s Game Awards. Plus, this will be the first live Game Awards since 2019, so there will likely be several impressive guests and segments prepared for the return to the live show.

The Game Awards also tends to feature some impressive musical guests and amazing orchestral performances celebrating music in video games. Combine that with the surprise guests and industry legends appearing on stage, and fans will have a lot to look forward to for the ceremony. There will be many spectacular things to come from this year’s Game Awards, and one can’t forget about the games.

While there will certainly be a ton of great events and surprises at The Game Awards, the main attraction is the games. This is meant to be a celebration and award for all the video games that have been released this year. 2022 was a fantastic year for video games, and it’s great to see so many strong and amazing contenders in each category. Naturally, fans don’t always agree on which game should be crowned Game of the Year, but that discussion and debate are part of the fun. Regardless of the results, it’s wonderful that so many games are getting recognized and that the people behind the games are being recognized for their hard work.
