The Boys shares new behind-the-scenes photos from Season 3 featuring Hughie, Butcher and Mother’s Milk posing inside of Soldier Boy’s tube.
Prime Video’s The Boys shared brand-new set photos from Season 3 featuring some of the show’s stars flaunting the middle finger.
Shared on the series’ official Twitter, the photos feature Butcher (Karl Urban), Hughie (Jack Quaid) and Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso) posing in the tube that contained Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy. Both Butcher and MM are flipping the camera the bird. While it’s unclear when these photos were taken during the filming of Season 3, Soldier Boy made his debut on The Boys during Season 3, Episode 4, “Glorious Five-Year Plan.”
These behind-the-scenes photos continue an ongoing trend for the cast of The Boys giving the camera the middle finger. Production on Season 4 began in August and both Quaid and Erin Moriarty, who plays Starlight/Annie January, shared photos of them giving the finger as they returned to work.
The Boys Season 4 Starts Production
The Boys Season 4 is currently filming in Toronto, and recent comments by the cast and crew indicate that the next season will be at least as shocking as the last. Jessie T. Usher, who plays Reggie Franklin/A-Train, confirmed as much in a recent interview, insisting that fans won’t see what’s coming next. “I can’t say if it’s more or less [violent than Season 4]. What I can say is it’s surprising. It’s surprising,” Usher said. “It’s surprising for everyone. That’s all I can say!”
As for Soldier Boy, Ackles officially joined the cast in Season 3 to play Vought’s first superhero, who is meant to be a parody of Captain America. While Soldier Boy has not been officially confirmed for Season 4 of The Boys, Ackles stated in January that “the door is not closed” on his character, and there is a possibility Soldier Boy could return for the next installment.
New additions to the cast in Season 4 include introducing two new supes, Firecracker and Sage, played by Valorie Curry and Susan Heyward, respectively. The Walking Dead‘s Jeffrey Dean Morgan also signed on to play an undisclosed role in the fourth season, potentially reuniting him with his Supernatural co-star, Ackles. Morgan celebrated joining The Boys‘ line-up by tweeting an edited version of the Season 1 poster with his own likeness added alongside that of Urban, Quaid and several of the show’s other stars.
However, the identity of Morgan’s character is only one of several surprises in store for fans when the show finally returns. According to executive producer Seth Rogen, some newfound twists and turns are on the way for the series based on what he’s seen during production. “I can’t be more shocked by what they’re doing over there, they find a way to shock me even more,” he said.
The Boys Seasons 1-3 are currently streaming on Prime Video. Season 4 does not yet have a release date.
