Jameela Jamil Wants to Finish Her ‘Nerd EGOT’ With a Star Wars Villain

She-Hulk’s Jameela Jamil wants to complete a ‘Nerd EGOT’ by adding a Star Wars role to her filmography of characters from DC, Marvel and Star Trek.

Actor Jameela Jamil has pitched herself as a potential Star Wars villain to complete a set of her dream roles, following appearances in three other major “nerd” franchises: DC, the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Star Trek.

Speaking to SFX Magazine, Jamil said that she would love to join the Star Wars franchise. “I’ve done DC, I’ve done the MCU, I’ve now joined Star Trek, so it feels only natural that I should at least be allowed to do catering at Star Wars,” she joked. “I’ve been referring to it as my nerd EGOT – that would be the ultimate dream come true and fulfill every 12-year-old fantasy I had.”

Jamil’s roles for DC include guest starring in Harley Quinn and voicing Wonder Woman in DC League of Super-Pets. She played recurring villain Titania on Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and most recently, joined the Star Trek universe by voicing Ensign Asencia in Star Trek: Prodigy.

Who Could Jameela Jamil Play in Star Wars?

Jamil also suggested that her dream role within Star Wars could be a villainous one. “I’d take literally anything, but I think a villain,” she said. “…Right now we are so divided. We almost seek to misunderstand each other. If we don’t understand each other, we’re never going to be able to find a way back to one another. That’s something that I’m very drawn to, helping people understand people who are different to them. And so I’m into playing the villains.”

Although she doesn’t know if Marvel will want to use Titania again, Jamil has said that she would be interested in portraying a more comics-accurate version of the villain, citing the version of the character written by Dan Slott. “I think what they did was so cool and so funny with making her a relatable social media influencer,” Jamil said of her role on She-Hulk. “But there’s a whole other world to Titania and a whole other side to her.”

An “EGOT” refers to an individual who has won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award, which are respectively awards for television, recording, film, and Broadway theater. There are currently 17 EGOT recipients, with the most recent being actress, singer and producer Jennifer Hudson.

A complete list of Jamil’s “Nerd EGOTs” has yet to be compiled, but she would be joining a club that includes Clancy Brown (Lex Luthor in the DCAU, Star Trek: Enterprise, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Thor: Ragnarok) and Brian George (numerous DCAU roles, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Ultimate Spider-Man, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine).
