  • Share

Dynamite has big plans this March for Barsoom. Writer Chuck Brown (Bitter Root) returns to tell an untold chapter of the Princess of Mars in Dejah Thoris #1. The story is set before the events of the first classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs and will feature art by Emiliana Pinna (Red Sonja). Colorist Ellie Wright and letterer Jeff Eckleberry complete the creative team.

Brown chatted with The Beat about the upcoming comic series.

Deanna Destito: Why did you want to tell the story of a younger Dejah?

Chuck Brown: I wanted to tell the story of a younger Dejah because it presents an opportunity to explore her backstory and development as a character. It also allows us to delve deeper into the rich culture and history of the planet Barsoom.
